2009 Night of the Stars Auction Items

“Painting with heat” is how Julie describes her chosen medium, in which sepia-like tones are produced by scorching wood with a tiny heated wire.  Because Julie rarely introduces color to her work, her detail is differentiated by texture, tone and value.  It is the meticulous detail she captures that distinguishes her from other pyrographers and it is the uniqueness of her medium that intrigues her collectors and sets her apart from more traditional artists.

"The Babysitter" framed Giclee
