5th Annual NIGHT OF THE STARS Gala, showcasing CKRH riders and horses costumed with a “How the West Was Won” theme

Help unleash the healing power of the horse!  Join us Saturday, June 21, 2008, at the Keeneland Entertainment Center located on Keeneland grounds for a magical evening featuring riders and their horses in an upscale Western event.  The evening entails dinner, dancing and many exciting opportunities to support CKRH with bidding at the silent and live auctions.

The live auction, considered to be the highlight of NIGHT OF THE STARS, will give attendees a glimpse into the hearts of CKRH students and their horses complete with costumes depicting some of the best-loved Old West characters of all time.  The winning bidder for each horse and rider gains a year’s sponsorship of the horse, along with a commemorative photo and plaque.

NIGHT OF THE STARS has evolved into a popular event in our community and is sold out each year.  The silent auction, along with cocktails, kicks off the evening at 6 p.m. and will be followed by dinner, live auction and dancing provided by the band Hasty Street of Berea, Kentucky.  Sponsorships for the event range from $1,500 to $50,000, and individual seats may be purchased for $100.

Central Kentucky Riding for Hope is dedicated to enriching the community by improving the quality of life and the health of children and adults with special physical, cognitive, emotional and social needs through therapeutic activities using the horse.  Proceeds from NIGHT OF THE STARS help to fund the existing program and achieve our goal of building an indoor arena so our riders will be able to ride year-round and we will be able to expand our services.
