Kim came to CKRH as a lesson volunteer and haycrew member in the summer of 2001. After several sessions of volunteering and assisting with lessons, she decided to pursue instructor certification. She earned her Registered Level certification at High Hopes Therapeutic Riding Center in Old Lyme, CT, in December of 2003. Since then, she has been teaching the Saturday morning Horsemasters program, coaching riders in Kentucky Special Olympics, and assisting instructors in training. From June of 2006 until February 2008, Kim was the CKRH Lead Instructor.

Kim recently earned her Masters Degree in Special Education. Her combined horse experience and education background will be beneficial as CKRH begins to expand its programs to service school groups in equine-assisted learning activities.

Kim is passionate about the welfare of all animals and dreams of one day opening an animal rescue facility, perhaps combining horse rescue with therapeutic riding.
